BUILDING AND IMPROVEMENT PERMITS

RESIDENTIAL PERMITS:
New construction $ 50 plus $.10 per sq. ft.
Remodeling requiring structural, electrical or
plumbing changes
$ .10 per sq ft w/ $50 minimum
Remodeling (over $500) not requiring structural,
electrical or plumbing changes
$25
COMMERCIAL PERMITS:
Public Building - New construction: $ 200 +.10 per sq ft
New Construction:  Church, temple, fraternal $ 200 +.10 per sq ft
Foundation Only  $ 25
Remodel w/Inspection: $ .05 per sq ft w/ $100 minimum
Remodel w/no Inspection  $ 50
OTHER PERMITS:
Sign  $ 50
Demolition $ 50
Certificate of Occupancy  $ 50
Moving  $ .10 per sq ft.
Mobile Home Park  $ 100 + $5 per ph space

PERMIT FEES WILL BE DOUBLED IF WORK IS STARTED
WITHOUT FIRST OBTAINING A PERMIT


The office administers the policies and actions of the Bedford Plan Commission, the Board of Zoning Appeals, and the Historic Review Board.

These Boards consist of the following:

Zoning Board:

Plan Commission:
Chairman Dave Jacobs;  Vice Chairman Byron Buker; Dean Blackwell; Jay Fiddler; Ron Orman; Bob Dailey; Mike Mitchell; Dan Kirk: Secretary Ex-Officio/ Planning Director.  

Historic Review Board:Chairperson Mary Margaret Stipp; Vice-Chairman David Jacobs; Rowena Cross-Najafi; Debbi Andry; Mark Scherschel; Mary Anderson BRI Representative Ex-Officio; Dan Kirk Secretary Ex-Officio/ Building Commissioner.
