Clerk-Treasurer: Julie Blackwell-Chase
Functions:
The Clerk-Treasurer is responsible for the following:
- Keeping records of council proceedings and have charge of all documents relating to its business
- Prepare and keep an ordinance book
- Have charge of all documents and books entrusted to her by statute or ordinance
- Keep the city seal
In addition, as the fiscal officer of the City, the Clerk-Treasurer is responsible for:
- Auditing the accounts of other departments and submitting a report at the end of each fiscal year on the accounts of the city
- Signing and issuing all orders for money upon the city treasury
- Manage and direct the financial accounts of the city and make investments of city monies
- Prescribe the payroll and account forms to be used in the departments and offices
